SBU reveals three hidings with ammunition and Russian mine in ATO area
The SBU officers revealed three hidings with ammunition in Luhansk region and a fragmentation mine of Russian production near Maiorsk checkpoint in Donetsk region.
The hidings with ammunition were located in the forest belts near Stanytsia Luhanska, Shchastia and Svatove. The law enforcers confiscated 36 30 mm shells, 15 RGD-5 and F-1 grenades, a grenade launcher shell and a MON-50 antipersonnel mine.
By each of the cases the issue of launching a criminal case under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being settled.
After a military clash with a so-called DNR sabotage group near Maiorsk checkpoint, the SBU officers together with the servicemen revealed an antipersonnel mine of pull action. By the conclusion of specialists POM-2R1 ammunition with 80-01-03 marking are produced only in Russia.
The SBU officers together with the Military Prosecutor’s Office fixed the fact of revealing the mine and added it to the evidence of Russian aggression in the framework of the appropriate criminal case.
Note: According to the assessment of military experts, the marking 80-01-03 of the POM-2R1 mine indicates the factory of the producer, lot number and year of production (2003). Ukraine adhered to a number of international conventions that prohibit the use of such ammunition that is why its Ukrainian origin is impossible. At the same time, Russia did not ratify these agreements.
