A quarter of a century ago, on April 1, 1994, the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 206 created the State Archive of the Security Service of Ukraine. It was created to provide permanent storage for documents and materials of the National Archival Fond, which are created during the operational and search activity of Ukraine’s security agencies.

Taras Shevchenko Kyiv University welcomed the presentation of the documents collection “Great Terror” in Ukraine. German operation of 1937-1938”. The publication became a result of decades-long cooperation between the SBU Sectoral state archive and the Institute of Culture and History of the Germans of Northeast Europe at the University of Hamburg.
