SBU arrests online separatist groups’ administrator in Dnipropetrovsk Region
The SBU officers detained a local resident of Solone Village of the Dnipropetrovsk Region, who conducted active anti-Ukrainian propaganda in Russian social media.
In the middle of last year a private entrepreneur became an administrator of a number of anti-Ukrainian online groups. Through the social media the man got acquainted with the DNR terrorist organization members and agreed to disseminate separatist content on information and political public forums.
He published information aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and promotion of the DNR/LNR activities, as well as creation of the fake “Dnipropetrovsk People’s Republic”. The administrator also informed his handlers of the moods among the locals of rural areas and social and political situation in the Dnipropetrovsk Region.
During searches the SBU officers seized a computer that contained evidence of his criminal activity of anti-Ukrainian nature.
Criminal case was opened under part 2 article 110 (encroachment upon integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigative actions are in progress.
