Hostages of illegal armed groups are returned to Ukraine
One of hostages of so-called Luhansk People’s Republic - the judge of the Court of Appeal Vitaliy Rudenko returned on the territory under Ukrainian government control with the support of the volunteer group “Patriot” and the SBU on the 29th of July, 2017. He had been kept in custody and put to tortures by the MDB “LNR” for nine months, hoping to return in Ukraine.
The headship of the SBU informed the President of Ukraine about the liberation of the judge.
Also one more hostage of the terrorists Lyudmila Syrzhenko has returned home. Despite the fact that Lyudmila had been disable person since her childhood, she was accused of espionage for the good of the Ukrainian militants and was put to tortures.
We would like to emphasize that the judge Rudenko and the hostage Surzhenko were put into Minsk lists. The Ukrainian government had fought for their liberation since their illegal imprisonment. Active work on the liberation of Ukrainian hostages is continued.
