SBU detains two RF citizens put on international wanted list for committing extremely serious crimes
The SBU officers, according to information from the General Secretariat of Interpol, detained two RF citizens put on international wanted list.
The law enforcers in Kyiv detained a Chechen native, who was put on international wanted list for committing extremely serious crimes.
According to the Interpol information, the foreigner participated in a number of assassinations, in particular, the editor-in-chief of the Forbes Russia Magazine - a US citizen, Paul Khlebnikov, and the deputy head - the head of the Office of the Government of the Chechen Republic in 2001-2003.
According to the SBU operative information, after the flight from Russia, the detainee was a member of an organized criminal group, which was engaged in extorting money from private entrepreneurs in Ukraine.
The SBU officers in Poltava region detained another RF citizen put on international wanted list.
Previously convicted for grave and extremely serious crimes as a member of an organized group in the EU countries, the native of Groznyi city was hiding from investigation for a long time.
According to the Interpol information, it became known that in 2013, a defendant, the Russian citizen, with the help of his accomplice, escaped from the court hall of the Sandvik town in Norway.
After committing regular crimes related to the theft of prestige cars, the RF citizen was put on international wanted list by the French Republic. To avoid criminal responsibility, he was hiding in different countries with forged passports.
The issue on choosing of restraint measure for the detainees and conducting a check related to their further extradition are under consideration.
