Dnipropetrovsk region: SBU detains two ‘telephone terrorists’
SBU officers in Dnipropetrovsk region exposed two ‘anonyms’ who submitted false messages with threats of terrorism.
Thus, SBU operatives in Pavlohrad in joint operation with Police detained a local resident who informed about “mining” a local shop.
A custody as a measure of restraint was chosen for the criminal in the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated under Part 1 Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Law-enforcers also exposed a resident of Kamianske, who under the influence of alcohol threatened to blow up a gas balloon in the residential house. Further check proved the criminal’s threat unfounded.
SBU reminds yet again that regardless of the ‘telephone terrorists’ motives, their actions lead to 2-6 years of imprisonment. For repeated offence, criminal can be sentenced to 4-6 years of imprisonment. ‘Telephone anonymous’ also have to recover the losses of commercial and government institutions incurred due to their illegal actions.
