SBU exposes participant of Russian movement on inspiring interethnic hostility
SBU officers uncovered a participant of the Russian political organization “Liberation Movement” in Khmelnytskyi region on attempting to inspire the interethnic hostility and anti-Ukrainian propaganda in the interests of the aggressor country.
The law enforcers established that the resident of Kamyanets-Podilskyi, being involved in the above-mentioned organization, was recruited by the FSB representatives during the periodical visits to Russia. According to the task of the “supervisors”, the agitator produced the postcards allegedly of Ukrainian nationalists calling to commit the aggressive actions against the Poles living in the territory of Ukraine. He received these materials from the “customers” through the Internet. Subsequently, the offender disseminated the agitation cards in the regional historical and cultural places popular among the foreign tourists.
The SBU operatives documented that the agitator also administered the Internet community in one of the social networks used for disseminating the materials on support of the terrorist organizations “L/DNR” and justified the Russian military aggression against our state.
The financing of the offender’s criminal activity was conducted by the representatives of the Russian special services using the crypto-currency.
During the authorized search in the offender’s residence, the SBU officers uncovered the materials with the anti-Polish and pro-Russian propaganda, as well as the computer equipment with the evidence of the unlawful actions.
The investigative actions in the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are under way.
