Traitor uncovered and detained by SBU is sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment (video)
SBU materials helped to sentence to 14 years of imprisonment the former deputy military commissar who worked in the interest of the Russian special services.
The officers of the SBU Military CI Department uncovered that the retired Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine moved to Russia to take up permanent residence from the beginning of the Russian aggression in 2014. There he was recruited by the officer of Russian military intelligence services.
The offender was tasked by his supervisor from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia to return in Ukraine and recruit a serviceman of the Armed Forces. He had to organize collection and transfer to the Russian military intelligence services the information on mobilization of the ATO forces in Donetsk region, the listing, structure and deployment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operating near Mariupol, the state of combat and mobilization readiness of the operative detachment “Zahid”; all of this data is classified.
The traitor attempted to recruit one of the military officers. Iin October, 2016 the SBU operatives detained former deputy military commissar on attempting to receive the secret documents on the combat and mobilization readiness of the troops of the operative detachment “Zahid” from the Ukrainian serviceman for the monetary reward in Hoshcha (Rivne region).
The court found the traitor guilty in committing the crime stipulated by Part 1 Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to 14 years of imprisonment, also depriving of the military rank of Major.
The verdict came into legal force.
