The SBU uncovers former Head of Appeal Court of Autonomous Republic of Crimea on assistance to occupants (video)
SBU officers in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of the Crimea in the framework of the initiated criminal proceeding uncovered the former Head of the Appeal Court of the temporarily annexed Crimea on assisting the occupants.
The SBU operatives established that the Ukrainian official had been assisting the aggressor country in ensuring functionality of the judicial bodies in the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimean peninsula since 2014.
The judge left the peninsula for personal reasons and worked in the Dnipro City Council. During the authorized investigative actions in the offender’s workplaces and residence, the law enforcers seized the additional evidence of his involvement in the illegal annexation of the Crimea.
The former judge was served a notice of suspicion in committing the crime stipulated by Part 1 Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The urgent investigative and operative actions are under way.
