Chief of SBU Pre-trial Investigative Department becomes silver medalist of World Cup hand-to-hand combat (video)
Chief of SBU Pre-trial Investigative Department, 44-year-old major-general Grigoriy Ostafiychuk, a member of the Ukraine national team, became a silver medalist of the Open World Championship of hand-to-hand combat. The tournament took place in Dalfsen, Netherlands.
The championship gathered over 400 sportsmen from 18 countries of the world. Grigoriy Ostafiychuk won silver in his weight category. The second place in another weight category took Nazar Mudrokha the officer of the SWAT team of SBU in Volyn region. “It is nice that the SBU general and officers demonstrate excellent physical shape and decently represent Ukraine at international competitions”, noted Vasyl Hrytsak, the SBU Head, welcoming the prize-winners on behalf of the command and collective of the SBU.
According to the Head, the SBU investigative departments keep up the good results in investigating the resonant cases, in particular, against state traitors, agents of Russian intelligences, terrorists and saboteurs. The court sentences to the criminals are the best proof of the effective and thorough work of the SBU investigative departments.
