Deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleh Frolov took part in the International Conference “Lessons from the Hybrid Decade: What to Know for a Successful Movement".
Kyiv-based high-level event, organized within the framework of the NATO-Ukraine Platform for studying the experiences of countering the hybrid war, was made possible due to the cooperation between Ukraine and the Alliance.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko opened the conference. The event was attended by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze and NATO Assistant Secretary General for new security challenges Antonio Mìssìrolì.
During his presentation, Deputy SBU Head demonstrated the SBU evidence of cyberattacks on critical infrastructure facilities, orchestrated and by country-aggressor and used by it as a hybrid war element. Oleh Frolov also provided examples of the use of Internet resources and social networks for the distribution of anti-Ukrainian propaganda, in particular the fake news.
The participants of the event discussed common approaches to security issues, combating cyber-threats, as well as Ukraine's cooperation with European and Euro-Atlantic partners.
