Kirovograd region: SBU materials help to convict anti-Ukrainian Internet agent provocateur (video)
SBU materials helped the Oleksandria District Court of Kirovograd region to sentence an anti-Ukrainian Internet propagandist.
Experts of the special service established that the local resident was publishing, in prohibited social networks, the materials with appeals to mass unrest and armed opposition against law enforcement agencies. The attacker also urged to join the illegal armed forces of the so-called “Novorossia”.
In April 2017, the SBU operatives detained the propagandist agitator in his place of residence in one of the settlements of Kirovohrad region.
In 2015, the criminal already was tried for a similar offense and was sentenced to four years of imprisonment, with the test period of three years.
During the authorized investigative actions, law enforcement officers found computer equipment and other items confirming the unlawful activity.
The court found the criminal guilty of committing a crime stipulated by Part 3 Article Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to 4.5 years in prison.
The verdict came into force.
