Kherson: SBU Academy holds charity event in honour of fallen heroes
Officers and cadets of the SBU National Academy visited visited Kherson with the exhibition of paintings “Invisible Guard” and a performance-requiem “War without a Term...” dedicated to officers of the Ukrainian special services killed during the ATO and JFO.
The officers from Kherson SBU Department and the SBU Main Department in Crimea AR (currently located in Kherson), servicemen, local authorities, clergy, youth and public representatives attended this event held at the regional Mykola Kulish Academic Music and Drama Theatre.
Kherson became the twenty-second city visited by the Academy team in the framework of Ukrainian charity tour.
“The echoes of war affected every corner of our homeland, every Ukrainian heart. Presenting the performance in different cities, we once again are convinced that regardless of the region there are things in common for all Ukrainians - such as love of native land, the pain of loss and remembrance about our killed defenders,” said the rector of the SBU Academy Serhii Kudinov, addressing the audience.
During the event, the spectators watched film from the cycle “We remember..." dedicated to the memory of Colonel Alexander Haraberiush, who died as a result of a terrorist attack in March 2017 in Mariupol city centre.
The first deputy head of the SBU Regional Department Andriy Havrylenko thanked the staff and cadets of the Academy for the unique event, which did not leave indifferent anyone present.
All funds collected during the charity evening were transferred to the Kherson Rehabilitation Center for the ATO veterans.
