SBU Academy team held charity event in Kropivnitskiy in memory of Colonel Andriy Kuzmenko
Within the framework of all-Ukrainian charity tour SBU National Academy officers presented a performance “War without a Date” and an art exhibition “Invisible Guard” devoted to the killed SBU officers.
The Charity event took place on the eve of the third commemoration of the death of SBU Colonel Andriy Kuzmenko and was attended by representatives of the authorities, the Ukrainian special services, the military and local residents.
“Heroes do not die. They come back to us in the names of the streets, look at use the memorable tablets, watch over as we carry on their battle. And we have no right to forget those who gave life for us and for peace in Ukraine,” emphasized the rector Sergey Kudinov at the event opening. He noted that Kropyvnitskiy is 23rd city where officers and students talk about the fallen SBU soldiers.
In their memory, the Academy created art exhibition “Invisible Guard”, a performance requiem "War without a Date..." and a video project "Remember", which includes 15 films. During the event, the performers presented a video about Andriy Kuzmenko, officer of the “Alpha” Special Ops Unit who was killed on December 10, 2015 over apprehension of members of the sabotage and reconnaissance group in Kyiv. The hero saved the life of a seven-year boy at the cost of his own life.
After the end of the event, Sergei Kudinov and SBU deputy head in Kirovograd region Igor Maksymenko presented the collected money to the Kirovograd veterans hospital, where about 1,500 of defenders of Ukraine were treated.
