SBU detains Caucasian criminal lord who illegally arrived in Ukraine
Officers of the SBU Main Department for Fighting Corruption and Organized Crime in Ivano-Frankivsk region detained Caucasian criminal lord who illegally arrived in Ukraine.
The SBU operatives established that a representative of the criminal circles of a South Caucasus country, known as “Tengo Halskyi”, used forged documents to illegally enter to our country. According to operative information, the criminal arrived to Ukraine to coordinate the activities of criminal groups. The individual had to get under control the region’s cash flows from robberies, thefts, assaults and carjacking.
The SBU officers detained the criminal in a resort complex of Ivano-Frankivsk region. During detention, law enforcers found a PM gun and forged documents for illegal residence in Ukraine.
Seized items were sent for further examination.
At present, the issue of initiating a criminal proceeding under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being settled; other circumstances of illegal activity of the detainee are being established.
The operation was conducted jointly with the SBU SFO units in Odesa and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
