SBU exposes Internet propagandist on discrediting electoral process, tasked by Russian Special Services (video)
SBU officers involved in Joint Forces Operation exposed an anti-Ukrainian Internet propagandist, resident of Donetsk region, on discrediting the Presidential elections of our country.
The SBU operatives found that Mariupol resident posted on her personal pages on forbidden social media the materials calling to change the state border of Ukraine. Also, the offender was popularising the D/LNR terrorist organizations.
On the eve of the Presidential election, the propagandist posted over 12,000 messages in various social media groups, calling to change the state constitutional order and to interfere in the electoral process.
The propagandist’s activity was coordinated by the handlers from the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Ukraine. Thus, she was receiving some of materials for Internet distribution from the representatives of the so-called ‘DNR Ministry of Information’.
In the course of authorized investigations at the criminal’s residence, the SBU operatives exposed computer hardware and mobile gadgets with materials confirming illegal activities.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the person involved was served a notice of suspicion in committing a crime.
The investigative and operative actions on bringing to responsibility other people involved in the illegal activity are under way.
