SBU stands ready to continue cooperating with representatives of domestic and foreign business - Ivan Bakanov
On June 7, 2019, the SBU Acting Head Ivan Bakanov held a meeting with heads and representatives of business associations of Ukraine, as well as the Council of Business Ombudsmen.
In particular, it was attended by business ombudsman Algirdas Semeta, President of the American Chamber of Commerce Andy Hunder, Executive Director of the European Business Association Anna Derevyanko and President of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs Vyacheslav Klymov.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss current outstanding problems in the economic sphere and the ways to solve them in order to prevent the illegal interference of the power unit in business activities. During the meeting, a wide range of issues was considered regarding the existing threats to legal business in certain sectors of the state economy, counteraction to smuggling and the shadow economy, as well as the development of public-private partnership in the field of cyber security. In addition, business representatives unanimously noted the positive dynamics of the SBU activities in cooperation with business organizations, which resulted in increased confidence in the special service.
Ivan Bakanov assured that the SBU stands ready to continue cooperating with representatives of domestic and foreign business in order to improve the investment climate in Ukraine.
