SBU officers participate in NATO training module
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine took part in the training module of "NATO-Ukraine Professional Development Programme" Champions 100 ".
The event was organized by the NATO Representation to Ukraine and with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. It was held with the participation of leading experts from the Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Advisory Board on Defense Reform and public organizations. During the discussion, experts testified that the SBU has made significant progress in the reform process in order to move closer to the best standards of the special services of NATO member states.
The subject of the event was to review the results of the implementation of the Annual National Program under the auspices of the NATO-Ukraine Commission for 2019 (ANP) and to discuss the proposals to the ANP for 2020. The participants discussed the evaluations given by the NATO Partnership and Cooperative Security Committee on the implementation by Ukrainian specialists of the planned measures of ANP-2019 and prospective lines of cooperation. According to the partners of Alliance findings, the high-quality implementation of the ANP is a key element in deepening the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, including the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The SBU officers also became familiar with new approaches to promote the ANP and NATO policies, primarily on strengthening the security and defense sector, taking into account the best European standards of security institutions.
