SBU Head meets students and lecturers of Odesa Law Academy (video)
The Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak held a meeting with students and lecturers of the National University Odesa Law Academy.
Vasyl Hrytsak gave a lecture on first days of the antiterrorist operation and activities of the special service under conditions of hybrid war. “We highly appreciate the dialogue with civil society. We become more open. The Service has recently significantly changed. Two years of hybrid war fighting by the Russian aggressor had its effect. We were forced to undergo rapid changes, actually to effect reforms on the move”, - Hrytsak said.
According to him, the Service with the assistance of the public developed a Reform Concept adopting best practices of foreign counterparts. The Concept was submitted to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine for approval. By June 14 it has to be adopted by the Presidential Decree.
“Law enforcement bodies need professional lawyers capable to prove in the court and inform world community on facts of Russian aggression,” – he emphasized. Vasyl Hrytsak offered students to cooperate with the SBU and expressed his hope that today’s students after graduation will help to increase the level of legal profession in Ukraine.
