The SBU apprehended a citizen of Sievierodonetsk who is an IT specialist and created a terrorist oriented site in Luhansk region.
Sharing separatists’ “values” the IT specialist started with creating pages in social media through which he conducted anti-Ukrainian propaganda. After a while he was contacted by a user of a Russian fake account. The user proposed him to create a proper resource to spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda and influence the users from Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk and Rubizhne.
Working in secrecy at home and at work the IT specialist created a site in 3 months. His project was financed by the Russian sponsor, who sent him the reward via one of the Russian electronic payment systems.
The site contained information oriented at supporting separatist pseudo-governmental formations, calls for changing the territorial boarders of Ukraine, conducting actions for pro-Russian separatists’ information support, propaganda of the “Russkiy Mir” idea, discrediting the Ukrainian state and stirring ethnic hostility.
