SBU welcomes 74 released Ukrainian hostages
SBU welcomes 74 released Ukrainian hostages, which were illegally detained in Donetsk and Luhansk.
“You are at home! Every serviceman dreams tell to mother, wife, and family – I’m at home! The country did its best in order you could embrace your relatives before the New Year holidays. Sorry that so long! We won’t finish the process of exchange till every our blood brother will come back home. Ukraine is with you!”, - the SBU Head Vasyl Hrytsak stressed.
According to him, 3215 of persons have already been released for today.
The entire country was waiting for this event. However we can’t fail to remember those, who still stay hostages of Russia policy, the aggressor-country, which wage a war against us for already almost 4 years: Serhiy Hlondar, Bohdan Pantiyshenko, Oleksander Korinkov, Mykola Karpiuk, Stanislav Klykh and other defenders of Ukraine for 3 years have already been detained in the territory of SDLDR (ORDLO) and the RF. Generally, 103 persons stay hostages in Donetsk and Luhansk, tens in the RF.
“We know each of them. And we won’t stop till releasing of all! Also the search and returning of 402 of missing is a priority for us”, - Hrytsak underlined.
The SBU Head gave direction to correspondent units to intensify the searches. “Unfortunately, for today the part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is occupied by Russian mercenaries and we don’t have the access to occupied territory. But it is certain that a matter of control – is a matter of time”, - he mentioned.
The SBU is engaged in the hostages releasing since the beginning of the undeclared war.
Hrytsak stressed that many partial persons are involved in this process. He thanked all, who assist to stand for our country: the SBU officials, the servicemen, the officials of the National Guard, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the MI officials, the leaders of partner countries of Ukraine, the clergy of different confessions and the volunteers.
“But the biggest appreciation is to families of hostages, without which we won’t be able to release any person” – the SBU Head underlined.
