SBU blocks the activity of large anti-Ukrainian network
SBU officers in joint operation with the Prosecutor's Office of the Crimea, conducted a complex of procedural actions aimed at documenting and blocking subversive activity against Ukraine carried out by the anti-Ukrainian network members involved in the organization of provocations on orders of the aggressor country.
The law enforcers established that the coordination of the anti-Ukrainian network was carried out by Artem Buzila, who provided instructions on conducting anti-Ukrainian events, directly from the Administration of the Russia’s president. The financing was carried out by the entourage of the former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Zakharchenko.
In the framework of initiated criminal proceeding, law enforcers conducted 28 authorized searches in criminals’ residences, in different regions of Ukraine. In course of the searches the officers found concrete evidence of network members committing illegal actions for Russian secret services.
Investigators in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Mykolaiv and Odessa regions seized 46 recording mediums and 38 mobile devices with important for pre-trial investigation materials and data.
Law enforcers found printed radicalization propaganda materials and documents with the “restricted” stamp, which could have been used by Russian secret services to organize subversive actions on one of the National Police’s facilities. Officers seized materials for the preparation of fake international conference in one of the European countries with an agreed text for the speaker advocating the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the discrediting the Ukrainian authorities, as well as a “price list” for bribing local council officials for taking decisions important to the Russian side and appeals to the leadership of the state.
The members of the “fighting team” of the anti-Ukrainian network were identified. During searches at their residences, law enforcement officers found a map of one of Ukrainian regions with marked bridges and other sensitive facilities, as well as literature on military topography. 700 grams of TNT with 5 electric fuses, two F-1 and RGD-5 grenades, and over 600 rounds of various-caliber ammo were also seized.
Urgent investigative actions are ongoing in the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 110, Part 1 of Article 111 and Part 1 of Article 255 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
