SBU Head conducts a working meeting with the Minister of State for Security of Great Britain
On October 3, in Kyiv the SBU Head Vasyl Hrytsak conducted a working meeting with the Minister of State for Security of Great Britain Ben Wallace.
During the meeting, the SBU Head informed the British partner about the directions and the nature of the Russian hybrid aggression against Ukraine.
Mr. Hrytsak briefed Mr. Wallace with the Russia special services large-scale operation of destabilizing the social and political situation in Ukraine on the eve of the elections, and attempts to discredit our state towards the international community.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on deepening bilateral cooperation in countering the intelligence and subversion activities of Russian special services and cyber threats.
Vasyl Hrytsak and Ben Wallace also took part in the opening ceremony of the second module of basic human rights questioning conducted with the support of the British side. Purpose of the event: to inform SBU officers with the best practices and techniques of British law enforcement agencies in conducting questioning of witnesses within the framework of an investigation of crimes.
At the opening, the SBU Head noted that Ben Wallace presence is the prove of cooperation between the special services of our countries. Vasyl Hrytsak also emphasized that, despite hybrid aggression, Ukraine remains a state under the rule of law and strictly adheres the fundamental human rights and freedoms.
