Donetsk region: SBU detained arms dealer in Bahmut
SBU officers in the joint forces operation detained a resident of Bahmut, Donetsk region, who was selling military munitions.
SBU operatives found that a former serviceman illegally transferred explosives and ammo from one of the military units, keeping it in the garage for further sale.
SBU officers documented two facts of sale of 700 different-calibre ammo rounds, six F-1, RGO-5 and RGO grenades and a WOG-25.
Law enforcers detained the criminal attempting to sell 500 grams of TNT, explosives and a reactive grenade for under-barrel grenade launcher.
During the search at the criminal’s place of residence the investigators found two F-1 grenades, almost 600 different-calibre ammo and over 500 grams of TNT.
Confiscated munitions are recognized as combat munitions, experts say.
The criminal was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
In the framework of initiated criminal proceeding stipulated by Part 1 Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, urgent investigative and operational actions are under way.
The operation was conducted jointly with the National Police and the Military Prosecutor's Office.
