SBU blocks financing of “DNR” terrorist organization by "Motor Sich” Group of Companies

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine blocked illegal activities of the “Motor Sich” Group of Companies, which financed activities of the “DNR” terrorist organization for two years.

Special service operatives in the framework of pre-trial investigation established that the officials of the separate unit of the Group - “Snizhnyanskyi Machine-Building Plant", which is located in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region, in the course of economic activity, developed and realized a scheme for conducting non-commodity operations with business entities located in the territory of Ukraine, Russia and the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic". Due to a deal the "Central Republican Bank of the DNR" received payments of “Snizhnyanskyi Machine-Building Plant" in the form of pay of unanticipated by the current Ukrainian legislation so-called "taxes and other mandatory payments".

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine documented that in particular for 2015, “Snizhnyanskyi Machine-Building Plant" paid over 32 million russian rubles to the budget of the "DPR”. The plant also carried out free of charge transfer of inventory items for the needs of the so-called "Ministry of Income and Levies of the Donetsk People's Republic", through which the illegal armed formations of militants were directly financed.

Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine served to director and chief of the financial department of “Snizhnyanskyi Machine-Building Plant" notices of suspicion of committing a crime, stipulated by Part 2 of Art. 258-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
