Sumy region: SBU exposes anti-Ukrainian Internet-agitator
The SBU officers within the framework of counterintelligence protection of the state's interests in information security blocked the activity of interregional network of anti-Ukrainian web-based agitators in Sumy, acting for the benefit of the aggressor country.
Special service operatives established that a resident of the regional centre posted on his personal pages on forbidden social media the materials calling to violate the territorial integrity and state border of Ukraine. Also, the criminal popularized the D/LNR terrorist organizations.
According to the operative information, the offender received personal messages containing anti-Ukrainian publications in social media from fake accounts, created by representatives of Russia’s special services. The person involved in the proceedings also copied information from propaganda resources of the aggressor country and illegal armed groups.
During the authorized investigative actions conducted in the criminals’ residence, the officers seized computer equipment and other evidence that prove the illegal activity.
In the framework of criminal proceeding initiated under Part 1 Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the urgent investigative actions are under way.
