SBU blocks transferring of dual-use goods to Russia
SBU investigators and counter-intelligence case officers prevented an attempt of illegal transfer of military ships components to the aggressor country.
During the pre-trial investigation law enforcement officers established that a resident of Mykolaiv was going to illegally transfer the details used to repair and maintain the ships’ engines of Russian Navy.
Law enforcement seized illegal goods on crossing the state border. According to the preliminary estimates, the market price of the seized goods reaches over UAH 1,5 mln (USD 60,000).
During the searches of the organiser’s residence, law enforcement officers found the flash drives, computer equipment containing messages with Russian customers.
The investigative actions are ongoing under the criminal proceedings for violating the regulations on international transfer of goods, which are the subject to the state export control.
