Junior judo tournament, dedicating to fallen SBU officials is taking place in Kremenchuk
The second all-Ukrainian junior judo tournament, dedicating to fallen SBU officials is taking place in Kremenchuk (Poltava region) on March 18-19.
The SBU Head Vasyl Hrytsak addressed to the participants of the tournament. “This tournament is not just a test for your moral courage, this is first of all the honouring of our servicemen, given their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, - he stressed.
The Deputy of the SBU Head Vadym Poiyarkov, chief of “Alpha” special task force unit Oleksander Ustymentko, the head of the Service Academy Serhiy Kudinov, and the mayor of town Vitalii Maletskii took part in the opening ceremony.
The SBU has lost over 20 officials since the beginning of the ATO. The majority of them fallen watching their friends and civilians in the battle area. “They gave their lives for you could live under peaceful skies”, - Vadym Poiyarkov addressed to the participants of the tournament.
The tournament organizers are the SBU and the Federation of judo of Poltava region – invited 600 teenagers from all Ukraine, representing almost 70 teams. The tournament serviced by the international and national referees of the Federation of judo of Ukraine.
The winners will be awarded with certificates, cups and medals by outstanding Ukrainian sportsmen, champions of the world and the Europe – Heorhii Zantarai and Artem Bloshevskyi.
In the frameworks of the tournament the photo exhibition “Remember You, Heroes”, dedicating to the memory of the deed of servicemen – officials of Ukrainian special service, given their lives for the Motherland, is taking place.
Participants and guests of the event may also find out more in the exposition of historical weapon and to see the equipment, using by the “Alpha” special task force unit officials in the course of their duties.
