The leadership of the SBU and the MIU call on the Central Election Commission to withdrove a candidate who is hiding from international justice
Acting Head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov appealed to the head of the Central Election Commission Tetyana Slipachuk with information on the candidate for people's deputies from the list of the "Opposition Block - For Life” political party Dmytro Torner, who is the involved in a number of criminal proceedings and forged information about himself.
According to materials collected by the SBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Main Investigation Department of the National Police on July 19, 2019 initiated two criminal proceedings on the grounds of criminal offences provided for in Part 1 of Art. 358 "Use of forged documents" and Part 1 of Art. 332-2 "Illegal crossing of the state border" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the person currently presents himself as Dmytro Hryhorovych Torner (YOB:1980), since 2007 has received, on the basis of forged documents, 5 Ukrainian passports for different names and different personal data, as well as 4 foreign passports, with which he had crossed the state border.
According to available information, Dmytro Torner is in fact a citizen of the Republic of Moldova Nekrasov Dmytro Hryhorovych (DOB: August 28, 1980), who is on a wanted list of the law-enforcement agencies of this country for committing an offence under Art. 317 (Escape from the places of detention) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Moldova.
On July 18, 2019, according to the results of the examination of the State Migration Service of Ukraine of the lawfulness of the procedure for the execution of the above-mentioned passport documents, all these Ukrainian passports were declared as invalid and are subjected to withdrawal and destruction.
Therefore, Nekrasov Dmytro Hryhorovych, having a criminal past, changed his real name in order to avoid criminal responsibility and create a positive image in the territory of Ukraine as an honest and respectable person.
The pre-trial investigation in these criminal proceedings is ongoing.
Ivan Bakanov and Arsen Avakov call on the CEC, on the basis of the information provided, to urgently make the appropriate decision provided for by the current legislation of Ukraine.
