SBU Program “Waiting for You at Home” continues to return former militants to peaceful life (video)
The SBU Program “Waiting for You at Home” helped another three ex-militants of the terrorist organization “DNR” to return to peaceful life.
The law enforcers established that, having succumbed to the Russian propaganda, a Dokuchaevsk resident joined the illegal armed formations in 2014. He was involved in “serving” on the militants’ checkpoints.
Having seen with his own eyes the crimes of the militants against the civilian population, the man left ranges of the criminal group and travelled to Russia. After returning to Ukraine, he was detained by the law enforcers and convicted for serving a sentence for participating in the illegal armed formations. He got to Donetsk after the exchange of the Ukrainian war prisoners at the end of 2017.
Being informed about the SBU Program “Waiting for You at Home” from the Internet, he voluntarily appealed to the law enforcers and could return to his family.
The resident of Sloviiansk was also disappointed in the ideas of the “Russkiy Mir” who was serving on the illegal checkpoint of terrorists in 2014. After staying for a short time in the ranges of the illegal armed formation, the man decided to leave the terrorist group and traveled to Russia.
Being informed about the SBU Program from his mother, he voluntarily appealed to the SBU and provided the necessary evidence on his participation in the illegal armed formation.
The Bakhmut resident also joined the ranks of terrorists in 2015. He was “serving” on the illegal checkpoint. Having succumbed to the victimization by the militants, the man left the illegal armed formation. Being informed about the SBU Program “Waiting for You at Home” from the close relatives, he appealed to the law enforcers and reported about the committed crime.
After careful examination, the SBU officers established that all three residents of Donetsk region did not directly participate in the hostilities and did not commit other serious and especially serious crimes. The court released the former members of the illegal armed formations from the criminal responsibility.
