Ternopil: SBU materials help to convict informer of LNR terrorist organization (video)
SBU materials helped to convict an informer of the LNR terrorist organization to imprisonment.
SBU operatives established that a resident of Rubizhne collected information about ATO forces in the region to transfer it for militants of illegal armed formations. In particular, the criminal was interested in information about the number of personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units located in the city and their movement across the railway station. The person transferred the received information to a representative of the so-called “LNR People's Police”.
Also, the accomplice of terrorists tried to recruit local residents to the illegal activities.
In November 2016, SBU officers detained the militant informer in his residence.
Ternopil City District court found the criminal guilty of committing a crime stipulated by Part 1 Article 258-3 and 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to four and a half years in prison.
The sentence came into force.
