Luhansk region: SBU serves suspicion notices to two militants
The Security Service of Ukraine served suspicion notices to two members of illegal armed formations who had been previously detained by the servicemen of the Joint Forces Operation with an interval of a few days.
According to the investigation, both involved persons are residents of the temporarily occupied Horlivka. One of them joined the ranks of the so-called “DNR" terrorist group after release from a penal colony. He took an active part in combat operations against Ukrainian units in the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Another involved person after training in the training center of the militants in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region discharged functions of a section commander of one of the so-called “DNR" groups in the area of Horlivka and Debaltseve.
Both offenders were served notices of suspicion under Part 1 Art. 258-3 the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The custody was chosen as a restraint measure.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
The operation was conducted under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Luhansk region.
