Russia’s aggressive actions in Kerch Strait

Russian special services are preparing for new provocations after the armed aggression against Ukrainian ships near the Kerch Strait. The information was distributed by Igor Guskov, Chief of Staff of the SBU Head, jointly with the representative of GUR (military intelligence service) of Ukraine, at a joint briefing.

Security Service of Ukraine received uncontested proof of Russian armed offensive on Ukrainian Navy, on 25.11.2018 in Kerch Strait. This was announced by Oleg Frolov, the Deputy Head of the Service at the briefing.

SBU investigators and the military prosecutors of the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region of Ukraine issued a notice of of suspicion to the servicemen of the FSB Border Service and Russian Army who gave and executed criminal orders for attack on Ukrainian sailors, on grounds of criminal offenses provided for in Part 2 of Art. 437 (planning, preparing, starting and conducting an aggressive war), Part 2 of Art. 15 (attempt to commit a crime), Clause 1 Part 2 of Art. 115 (deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
