SBU conducts planned anti-terrorist training exercises in Chernivtsi
On June 25, the Coordinating Group of the Antiterrorist Center at the SBU Office in Chernivtsi region conducted tactical and special anti-terrorist training exercises, during which law enforcement officers performed the task on detection and disposing of simulated subversive-terrorist group.
The event was attended by representatives of regional departments of the Security Service, National Police, National Guards, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, the State Emergency Service, the State Special Communication Service, the state authorities and local self-government.
The purpose of the exercises was to increase the level of interagency cooperation to combat sabotage and terrorist threats. The working out of tasks was carried out in conditions of combat realism.
According to the legend of the training, terrorists arrived in Chernivtsi to commit sabotages in crowded places and disorganization of the work of an important state facility of a unified transport system of Ukraine - the Chernivtsi railway station, STSA "Lviv railway". Due to the coherent and effective actions of law enforcers, simulated "terrorists" were detained, and detected mock-ups of explosive devices were disposed.
The ATC coordination group thoroughly analyzed each stage of the exercises, noting the high level of training and readiness of the participants for the tasks of preventing terrorist threats and sabotages.
