SBU serves to management of the enterprise notice of suspicion of financing "DNR” militants
Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine and the prosecutor of Donetsk region served notices of suspicion to three persons, involved in a mechanism of supplying industrial equipment for coal mines to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region.
Special service operatives engaged in the Joint Forces Operation have established that during 2018-2019, the domestic machine builder on paper allegedly exported mining equipment to Russian companies. In fact, industrial equipment was delivered to coal mining enterprises located in the "DNR” terrorist organization. After crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border, products under the scheme of "interrupted transit" were delivered by organizers of the illegal scheme to the so-called "DNR" for use in "nationalized" enterprises.
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine documented transferring of equipment to the militants for a total amount of 30 million hryvnias. The funds received were directed at financing of the "DNR institutions", in particular the power bloc, as well as other measures to keep captured by terrorists territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
At present the executive director of the enterprise who is a deputy of the Donetsk regional council, his deputy, and also another participant of criminal deal were served notices of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 258-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
It should be recalled that in June another participant of illegal scheme - also deputy of the Donetsk regional council, acted as a mediator between the management of the plant and militants was served notice of suspicion under the same article.
