SBU cadets visit memorial sites in Kharkiv Region to commemorate Day of Partisan Glory
In order to commemorate the Day of Partisan Glory cadets and lecturers of the Law Personnel Training Institute for the SBU of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University together with veterans, activists, local authorities took part in unveiling of a memorial plaque in the village of Znamianka, Novovodolazkyi District.
The plaque is established in honor of the fallen members of underground organizations and partisan fighters who struggled against fascism in Kharkiv Region during the World War II.
First-year students participated in a military quest game near villages of Taranivka and Sokolovo, Zmiivskyi District, where partisan units fought battles. At beds of honour a moment of silence was held for the defenders of the Fatherland. They also laid flowers for soldiers who gave their lives defending the railway crossing of Bespalivka and constraining an all-out attack of the enemy.
At the end, cadets ate soldier’s porridge which tasted unusually for future officers after that day’s events.
