SBU conducts planned anti-terrorist training exercises in Transcarpathian region
The Coordination Group of Anti-terrorist Centre at the SBU Office in Transcarpathian region conducted planed special tactical anti-terrorist training exercises.
The regional units of the Armed Forces and, the SBU, the National Police, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service, the State Special Communications Service, power officials and local government representatives took part in the near-real conditions training in Mukachevo and Berehove districts of Transcarpathian region.
The purpose of the trainings was to increase the cooperation level to prevent the sabotage and terrorist threats to the high-risk facilities and crowded places.
According to the legend, conventional terrorists arrived on the territory of the region to commit "sabotage" at military sites. Due to the coherent and effective actions of law enforcers, simulated "terrorists" were detained, and detected mock-ups of explosive devices were disposed.
The Coordination Group of Anti-terrorist Centre analyzed the law enforcers’ usage of forces and means, marking the proper preparation and cooperation of all involved anti-terrorism units.
Also, some elements of countersabotage work are analyzed and proposals are made to improve their effectiveness.
