SBU stops activity of three anti-Ukrainian administrators in social networks (video)
In December the SBU officers stopped the activities of three anti-Ukrainian administrators in social networks, who posted materials in line with the instructions of curators from the Russian secret services.
While conducting the complex of measures to ensure information security of the country, the operatives of the SBU Central Office, the SBU regional departments in Donetsk and Odesa regions uncovered new evidences of the use of social networks by the RF special services to harm the state security of Ukraine. The law enforcers documented the illegal activity of the residents of Odesa, Slovyansk and Bakhmut, who were administrators of anti-Ukrainian communities in the Russian social network “VKontakte”.
The SBU operatives established that the moderators, in the line of instructions from Russia, published materials in the social network calling to change the national borders of Ukraine and in support of the terrorist organizations "LNR/ DNR". They received monetary reward from Russian curators for their anti-Ukrainian activities.
During the searches of administrators’ residences, the SBU uncovered computer equipment and mobile devices with evidences of publishing anti-Ukrainian materials and getting the instructions from Russian secret services.
The actions committed by the offenders are determined under Article 109 (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or take-over of government), Article 110 (trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and Article 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigative actions are under way.
