Mariupol: SBU Academy team conducts benefit night in the memory of the colonel Oleksander Kharaberiush
The SBU National Academy presented art exhibition “Invisible guard” and the performance-requiem “The war without the term…” dedicated to the memory of the SBU colonel Oleksander Kharaberiush, who was killed in the terrorist act in the center of Mariupol in March 2017.
The representatives of the state power bodies, the clergy, the law-enforcers, students of military and civil high educational establishments of Mariupol and also the family and friends of Ukrainian secret service fallen officer came to honor the memory of one of the best counterintelligence agents of Ukraine.
The Academy rector Serhiy Kudinov told to those present that the aim of this event – is to bring the truth about war and heroism of our defenders in the east of Ukraine. “Mariupol – is a limit city between the peace and the war. In particular this city became the outpost on the way of Russian enemy”, - he stressed.
The performance requiem “The war without the term…” played by the cadets of the Academy on behalf of the fallen heroes describes everyday dangerous war between the defenders of Ukraine and Russian secret services and terrorists. For the first time it contains the narration about life of Oleksander Kharaberiush and 17 years of his service in the SBU. Only during the ATO, he conducted over 120 operations to detain members of sabotage-reconnaissance group, terroristic groups and traitors to Ukraine. With every next executed operation, he and his colleagues proved that they would not allow the enemy to take away their dear land.
The first deputy of the Main SBU Department in Donetsk and Luhansk regions Oleksander Karpenko and the deputy of Donetsk Regional Civilian-Military Administration Victor Remskyi expressed gratitude to the Academy team. They emphasized, that deeds of homeland defenders, who remained true to the oath and the people of Ukraine, should set the example for everyone.
The funds collected during the charity event were transferred to the Mariupol Military Hospital for treatment of the wounded soldiers.
