SBU stops spreading of Russian TV-content in Bakhmut
The SBU officers revealed an entrepreneur who mounted satellite equipment in order to watch Russian propaganda channels.
The law enforcers established that the main office and telecommunication equipment of the merchants is located in the temporarily occupied Horlivka. After getting an order, the man mounted satellite equipment upgraded for Russian channels to clients in the Ukraine controlled districts. The price of the mounting was 3,000 UAH. The criminal passed a part of the money to the leaders of the so-called DNR.
The SBU officers together with the Police apprehended the criminal while mounting the equipment in a café in Bakhmut.
According to the information available, in the territory of Bakhmut district more than 5,000 users including public institutions have the transmission of propaganda channels. The SBU together with other law enforcement and state bodies started a complex of measures to stop the spread of the forbidden Russian TV-content.
A criminal case under Article 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is launched.
The pretrial investigation is under way.
