SBU apprehends corrupt deputy head of customs post in Kremenchuk
The SBU officers under procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office revealed a corrupt deputy head of a customs post in Poltava region.
The official had systematically been getting money from businessmen for them maintaining their activity freely.
The SBU officers apprehended the second-rank advisor in his own office while getting 150 EUR from a local citizen for giving him permission to import goods under “processing customs regime”.
In the process of search in the office of the criminal, the law enforcers revealed almost 15,000 UAH, which he “earned” during the day.
The criminal is notified of suspicion under Part 3 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Urgent investigative actions are under way.
Previously the SBU officers revealed two inspectors of Poltava Customs who organized lead of trucks (so-called customs service) out of the customs control zone and without necessary payments. Both officials were dismissed; the Prosecutor’s Office launched a criminal case.
