SBU calls citizens to stay alert and reminds of terrorist threat levels

Taking into account the escalation of conflict in the ATO area the SBU calls the citizens in all regions of the country to stay alert and inform the law enforcers of any suspicious subjects or individuals.

The citizens can anonymously inform the SBU about such cases using the SBU hot line 0 800 501 482 or trust lines of the regional SBU departments.

The SBU and other law enforcement bodies systematically analyze the complex of preventive measures that correspond to the level of the expected threat. All the actions are performed in the framework of current legislation, in particular the Law of Ukraine “On the Fight against Terrorism”.

The situation with the ATO threat is under control. As far as sufficient data is received appropriate measures will be taken.

Please be reminded that according to Paragraph 8 of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 18.02.2016 № 92 the Head of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center decided to determine the following levels of terrorist threats:

“RED” – Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea;

“YELLOW” – Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions;

“BLUE” – Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Khmelnitskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Kyiv regions and Kyiv city;

“GREY” – Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Poltava and Ternopil regions.

The mentioned Decree is open; the citizens can learn the measures taken by the subjects of fighting terrorism according to the defined levels of the terrorist threats (http://zakon3.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/92-2016-%D0%BF).
