SBU stops supply of dual use goods to Russia
The SBU officers stopped a channel of dual use goods supply to Russia. In particular spare parts of warcrafts and submarines were smuggled.
The law enforcers found out that the criminals with the help of the Odesa-Rostov-on-Don bus driver tried to smuggle to Russia goods that are subject to state customs clearance. At the customs point Scherbakivka, Kharkiv region, the officers seized a consignment of dual use goods hidden in the vehicle.
The searches in the storage facilities of the dispatching company in Odesa revealed spare parts to equipment used in air and space fields, technical manuals and seals of the non-operating plant certifying the equipment. Eleven renovated engines and pumps of liquefied gas that as well can be used for the military purposes were also seized.
Expertise confirmed that the devices seized from the bus driver are dual use goods.
Criminal investigation under part 2 article 15 and part 1 article 333 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was initiated.
Urgent investigative and search actions in order to establish the ordering company of the dual use goods are in progress.
