SBU Head passes remains of GI fallen serviceman to the ambassador of Kazakhstan (video)
SBU Head Vasyl Hrytsak during the ceremony passed remains of GI fallen serviceman to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Samat Ordabaev.
The SBU National Academy cadets found remains of two servicemen in due course of research expedition. They managed to identify one of fallen as the junior sergeant Aip Ramazanov, native of Kazakhstan. He was considered to be missed in action since January 29, 1942. “The Service did the best in order the remains of Aip Ramazanov were buried in dear land in the eve of the Republic of Kazakhstan public holiday”, - Vasyl Hrytsak emphasized.
Since 2016 the SBU Academy cadets had found remains of 57 fallen servicemen, which were reinterred with military honours. “The country, which doesn’t strife for restoring of historical truth and doesn’t honor the memory of Heroes, fallen for it – hasn’t the future”, - the SBU Head underlined. He noticed that since the beginning of Russian aggression 403 Ukrainian nationals, including 123 servicemen are considered to be missed in action. “The SBU together with the other institutions will does the best for establishing of their fate. I believe that they will return alive to their families”, - Vasyl Hrytsak assured.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan extended thanks to the SBU and the Academy cadets for the participation in this noble mission. “The health of the country consists in the memory about own history”, - Samat Ordabaev stressed. According to him, the remains of Aip Ramazanov will be in the Motherland even tomorrow, where they will be met with military honours.
The SBU cadets passed to the family of the serviceman his personal belongings: the ID tag, the GTO badge, the junior sergeant tabs and the cigarette holder.
