SBU wrecks Russian provocation, oriented to incitement of ethnic hatred in Transcarpathian region

SBU wrecked another Russian provocation, oriented to incitement of ethnic hatred in Transcarpathian region.

The country-aggressor organizations planned to use conference of ethnic minorities, which had to take place in Uzhhorod, for announcement of calls for granting of independence to the region.

These calls had to bring up patriotic forces with the representatives of ethnic minorities of the region. The Russian side also planned to involve paid out pseudoactivists for inspiration of clashes and conflict with law-enforcement bodies.

Besides, in the frameworks of Russian provocation, propaganda constructions with letterings in Hungarian, were placed in three districts of the region. Due to the fact that these banners were arranged without executive power bodies permits, they were dismantled by the public utility.

It was established that dismantled propaganda materials were published by Kyiv printing plant under order of persons, engaging with Russian information centers. No local organizations involving into publishing and distributing of these materials.

The SBU officials also detained a man, which had to ensure the video of provocations in Transcarpathian region.

During the conversation with the special service operatives he informed that for 10 thousand UAH he received an order for preparing of these materials form a person, using the number of Russian mobile operator. According to him, he regularly executed tasks from the RF, in particular concerning covering events of May 2 in Odessa.

The citizen was examined in the frameworks of initiated criminal proceeding under Article 110 of the Criminal code of Ukraine. He was notified of official warning.

The investigations are under way.
