SBU blocks smuggling and sale of LSD in Kyiv region
The SBU officers in Kiev region blocked smuggling and sale of especially dangerous synthetic drug - LSD.
The law enforcers established that the organizer of drug trafficking – the resident of Irpin – ordered drug from North America and received it through postal sendings.
The offender sold "goods" through so-called "caches", payment from customers was sent to the bank card. There was flexible discount system for "wholesalers".
The SBU operatives detained the offender in one of the post offices of Irpin on receiving next parcel with LSD.
During searches of his residences, the law enforcers seized nearly 1,300 "marks" and notebook with "client" base.
According to the "black market" prices, the value of seized drug is over UAH 750,000 (USD 27,000).
The SBU investigators initiated the criminal proceeding under Part 2 Article 305 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect was notified of suspicion in committing the crime and a custody was chosen as a measure of restraint.
The pre-trial investigation is under way.
