Three terrorists of the Certain Territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are sentenced under SBU materials
Three militants of DNR and LNR terrorist organizations were sentenced in Lugansk and Donetsk regions under the SBU materials.
The law enforcers established that a twice-convicted resident of Perevalsk in Luhansk region, after being released from prison in 2014, joined the terrorist illegal armed formations. Being in the ranks of the militants, he worked in the “commandant's office” and guarded with weapon the " staff office" of the illegal grouping «Pryzrak" in Alchevsk. As a participant of the illegal armed formation the offender was trained under the guidance of Russian instructor who taught militants to handle machine guns and mortars. In February 2015, at the direction of the leaders, he was sent to Debaltsevo for armed resistance to the ATO forces.
The SBU officers detained the terrorist in Rubizhne in 2016, where he was hiding from justice.
The second criminal, the resident of Lysychansk, who was the part of the illegal armed formation, was involved in the construction of illegal checkpoint and actively participated in hostilities against the ATO forces.
In May 2017, the SBU operatives in cooperation with the officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detained the terrorist near the delimitation line.
The court found the offenders guilty under Part 1 Article 258-3 and Part 1 Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and imposed the punishment in form of ten and eight years of imprisonment correspondingly.
According to the SBU materials, the Slovyansk District court of Donetsk region passed a sentence to the resident of Odesa region who was involved in the activities of the "DNR" terrorist organization.
The SBU operatives established that in 2014, the former deputy of a village council of the Kominternivskyi district of Odesa region went to Donetsk and joined the “DPR" illegal armed formation. After training in one of the militant camps, the offender participated in armed confrontation to the ATO forces.
Due to the fact that the militant is staying in the temporarily occupied territory and continues to fight against the ATO forces , he was convicted in absentia.
The court found the terrorist guilty under Part 1 Article258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to ten years of imprisonment.
