Andrii Dolhov was born on April 21, 1975 in Vinnytsia city. He graduated from Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University.

In November 1995, after military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he began military service in the SSU. He joined the SSU Office in the Vinnytsia region. In 2002, he underwent special training and complex selection and was enlisted in the special unit "A".

Among the best officers, he was selected to perform the task of protecting the Ukrainian embassy in the Republic of Iraq, the building of which was located in a sector vulnerable to terrorist attacks.

In 2014, SSU special unit "A" was the first to fight Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine. Lieutenant Colonel Dolhov performed operational and combat missions in the ATO area in Donetsk and Luhansk regions in 2014.

He died on October 7, 2016 while performing military tasks.

Andrii is survived by his wife, daughter and son, who also chose a military career.
