The function of the SSU is to ensure the state security of Ukraine against threats and challenges which can have both domestic and foreign origins. The SSU, therefore, closely cooperates with foreign partners to effectively ensure the secu-rity of Ukraine.

The Security Service of Ukraine cooperates with:

• Foreign special services;
• Foreign law enforcement agencies;
• Relevant international organisations.

In a globalised world, threats to the state security of Ukraine’s main partners has an influence on the security of Ukraine itself. The SSU, therefore, relies on the support of our partner special services in many areas.

The SSU actively cooperates with many international organisations. In particu-lar, EU and NATO experts provide professional advisory support on the reform of the SSU.
