Anatolii Tkachenko was born on July 14, 1977 in the city of Antratsyt, Luhansk region.

Anatolii graduated from Zhukovskyi State Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" in 2000.

He joined the SSU in 2003 and dedicated 13 years of his life to the Service.

After the occupation of part of Luhansk region, Major Tkachenko continued to perform the tasks assigned to the SSU in occupied Antratsyt: he carried out operational and investigative measures and provided important information about the crimes of the occupants and separatists.

On December 6, 2017, Major Tkachenko was declared dead by the District Court in Kharkiv city.

Anatolii is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
